About

Hello, I’m Moira, and I’m delighted to share a bit about myself with you. Born and raised in Kempton Park, I am the second child of four siblings and grew up in a loving and close-knit family.

In 1994, I embarked on a service year for Christ with the ACSV in the then Eastern and Northern Transvaal, where I had the opportunity to serve primary schools through drama and music. This experience ignited my passion for working with children and fostering their emotional well-being.

I pursued my education at Ann Latsky Nursing College, specializing in General, Community, Psychiatry, and Midwifery. Seeking to expand my knowledge in pediatric care, I completed a post-graduate Diploma in Pediatric Nursing at the University of Pretoria. Additionally, in 2010, I qualified as a SAQA Assessor, furthering my commitment to professional development.

Throughout my nursing career, I have gained valuable experience in various disciplines, including pediatric wards, orthopedic wards, and clinical facilitation at a private nursing academy. I have also worked in Fresenius Kidney dialysis units and drug and alcohol addiction recovery clinics. Additionally, I have been involved in corporate wellness programs, conducting medical assessments for HIV, Covid-19, annual check-ups, expatriate medicals, and insurance requirements.

However, my true passion has always been rooted in working with children, music, arts, and crafts. I have a deep desire to transform families and create an environment where unity and blessings can flourish. I also provide counseling for adults and families, extending my services beyond children.

In 2010, I became an instant mother to four wonderful daughters, and over the years, we have been blessed with three sons-in-law and six grandchildren. This experience has given me firsthand insights into the joys and challenges of family life, further fueling my dedication to supporting families and their children.

In 2021, I embarked on my Play Therapy studies with APAC/PTI/UK. This exciting journey has provided me with specialized knowledge and skills in Play Therapy, allowing me to merge my passion for helping children with the power of play to facilitate healing and growth.

I am truly honored to be a part of your child’s journey toward emotional well-being and look forward to providing a nurturing and transformative experience through Play Therapy.

Warm regards,

Moira Hartzenberg
